In March of the year 2017, CLEANTECH LATVIA and BALTIC CLEANTECH ALLIANCE went for a trade mission to Tashkent, Uzbekistan with a purpose to establish prospective cooperation scopes and projects, as well as to represent the interests of Latvian and Finnish clusters in Uzbekistan.
One of the major events of this visit was CLEANTECH LATVIA agency in Tashkent official opening, with more than 80 participants: CLEANTECH LATVIA representatives, BALTIC CLEANTECH ALLIANCE representatives, high-level Latvian Republic officials, ambassador of Finland in Uzbekistan N. Lundqvist and Finland enterprise delegation, as well as high-level Uzbekistan Republic officials and entrepreneurs.
During this trade visit, there were conducted various important meetings with Uzbekistan responsible officials and scholastic institutions. There were also meetings between foreign organizations and finance instruments’ managers representatives in Uzbekistan, during which they discussed a CLEANTECH LATVIA partners’ proposition and potential cooperation in water management, alternative energy, science and education, biotechnology and waste management scope. Numerous B2B meetings between Latvian and Uzbekistan entrepreneurs were also conducted. During the trip our partners were also able to discover industry and science objects, particularly windmill park and the most significant places of interest in Tashkent.
This visit happened in line with another one by LIAA and Agriculture ministry that made a huge support for CLEANTECH LATVIA organized events.
