During 05.11.2018-09.11.2018 experts of CLEANTECH LATVIA provided master-classes to specialists and region authorities of Fergana, Andijan and Tashkent regions. This educational project is summoned to strengthen international cooperation between Republics of Latvia and Uzbekistan, thus supported by the Ministry of International Affairs of Republic of Latvia.
In this visit CLEANTECH LATVIA’s experts covered the topics of:
- water supply
- wastewater management
- biological substances for soil and ecological agriculture
- GIS technologies
- “Smart Cities”
- waste management.
Main beneficiaries of the master-classes are representatives of city/region administrations, businesses and universities.
Besides planned master classes, partners of CLEANTECH LATVIA had individual meetings with potential customers and partners from Uzbekistan from different business areas, such as agriculture, waste management and city management. That proves Central Asian market interest of Latvian products and expertise.
We strongly believe, that new knowledge and expertise provided under this program will force further development of Fergana, Andijan and Tashkent regions and will strengthen cooperation between Latvia and Uzbekistan.
Activities were implemented in the framework of project “Capacity building in the Uzbek state administration for sustainable development” and project “Cluster CLEANTECH LATVIA” No.3.2.1.1/16/A/014.
