CLEANTECH LATVIA signs Memorandum of Cooperation with International Green Technologies and Investments Center

On 2nd of July, 2018, during Astana Finance Days events, CLEANTECH LATVIA signed new Memorandum of Cooperation with the International Green Technologies and Investment Center (IGTIC).

Memorandum is continuation of discussions during Intergovernmental meeting between Kazakhstan and Latvia, which was held in Riga in the beginning of June 2018, that makes Latvia one of 16 countries to contribute its experience and knowledge in the fields of environmental projects and green technologies, based on cooperation with IGTIC.

Collaboration will cover such topics as:

– efficient use of water resources
– high productivity agriculture
– energy efficiency
– use of renewable energy
– air pollution
– waste management.

CLEANTECH LATVIA is looking forward to fruitful collaboration and transfer of best practices and modern technological applications for sustainable and environmentally friendly growth for better future of both Kazakhstan and Latvia.

For reference: created on behalf of the Head of State, the International Center for Green Technologies and Investment Projects will function on the basis of the Expo-UN International Center. The new center will become an ideological continuation of the heritage of the Astana Expo-2017 exhibition, and also aims at establishing strategic partnership relations between the world communities in the development of green economy. Along with this, it will help attract investment for Kazakhstan projects.
