Project ENGINE partners – Association Kazakhstan Su Arnasy participates in Central Asia Knowledge Network annual international conference
On March 4, 2021, project partners – Association “Kazakhstan Su Arnasy” participated in The Central Asia Knowledge Network annual international conference “Promoting regional water sector dialogue and cooperation in Central Asia through knowledge networking, partnerships and education”!
The president of Association Kazakhstan Su Arnasy spoke in a panel discussion on the topic “Assessing the demand for specialists in the Kazakhstan’s water supply and sanitation sector” – based on the results of a market study conducted by the Association in 2020 within the framework of the European Union co-funded project ENGINE.
The overall objective of the conducted market research “Participation of SMEs in solving problems of the water sector economy, emphasizing water supply and sanitation sector and improving the quality of services in it” was to develop a competitive environment for MSMEs in the water sector of the Republic of Kazakhstan, increasing the potential of engineering and production organizations through the growth of professional competencies of specialists and to develop proposals for building a system of personnel training and schemes for organizing educational services to support MSMEs.
The CAKN conference was organized in cooperation with national and regional universities, international development partners, including EU, USAID, SDC, UNESCO and others.
