CLEANTECH LATVIA shares its experience on cluster development during specialized webinar

On 26th of May, CLEANTECH LATVIA Executive director Evija Pudane participated in webinar organized by Kazakhstan’s “International green technologies and investment projects center”.

Back in 2017 during Expo-2017 in Astana, Kazakhstan, CLEANTECH LATVIA signed a Memorandum on Cooperation with newly established International green technologies and investment projects center (IGTIPC), which is considered as the legacy of Expo. Currently IGTIPC works on creation of Kazakh Greentech industry cluster and studies international experience on creation, operation, and success stories of similar clusters, related to the industry of environmental projects. Ms. Pudane was invited to be a lecturer, along with CEO of Green Tech Cluster of Austria – Mr. Bernhard Puttinger.

Ms. Pudane introduced participants with clusters’ everyday operations, shared her experience with using financial opportunities to fund eco-oriented projects and explained her views on how government could support work of clusters.

The webinar was attended by the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Center for Engineering and Technology Transfer.
