Conclusion of project “Clean technologies cluster”

On 22 March 2016 the association CLEANTECH received the final payment of financial support in the framework of the project Clean Technology Cluster, Con. No. L-SSP-12-0009, and in this wayfinalizing project closure.

The project objective was to bring together Latvian clean technology companies, universities and research institutes with the experience, knowledge and technologies and ensure a common approach to the global market by promoting the exchange of information, attraction of investments and foreign market entry.

In less than 4 years CLEANTECH LATVIA succeeded:

  • more than 65 marketing activities: trade missions, exhibitions, special visits to potential customers and partners;
  • 2 study of foreign markets and 2 sectoral studies;
  • 10 feasibility studies for development of new products and technologies.

But most importantly, that we managed to create the cluster, known in the target markets and having recognition in the clean technology sector. There is no doubt that a cluster of clean technologies will continue to exist and to be active even after the program ends.

We appreciate the support rendered by the Ministry of Economics of the Republic of Latvia, Latvian Investment and Development Agency, and all CLEANTECH LATVIA partners.

The project was implemented from September 12, 2012 until December 31, 2015, with a total budget of 601 614 EUR, of which 522 415 EUR of the European Union structural funds.
